Concerning New Info in Nancy Guthrie Missing Person Case - Plus, a Ransom Note?

We wrote Monday about the case of 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie, who was last seen between 9:30 and 9:45 pm local time Saturday in Catalina Foothills, Arizona, after being dropped off at her home by a family member.

Mrs. Guthrie is the mother of NBC News "Today Show" co-host Savannah Guthrie.

Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos has said from the start that he believes that this was an abduction - possibly from her bed as she slept, not a case where the victim took a trip without telling anyone or wandered off. He noted that the family described her as "sharp as a tack," but as also having mobility issues to the extent that she has to use a cane. She also takes life-sustaining medication.

Nanos has also described what he calls the "crime scene" as "very concerning," saying that DNA samples were being processed after he sent in homicide detectives to investigate. “It’s rare for me to call out our homicide team unless we have a body,” Nanos remarked Monday during an MS NOW interview.

In an update to this story, a new video shows what looks like may be blood on the walkway near the front door to Mrs. Guthrie's residence. There also appears to be a missing doorbell camera.

Nanos told CNN they are working to pull video from Mrs. Guthrie's home as well:

We've also learned that the grandmother's pacemaker stopped syncing to her Apple products early Sunday morning:

Nancy Guthrie’s pacemaker stopped syncing with her Apple devices predawn Sunday, a Tuesday report said as the search for the mother of NBC News star Savannah Guthrie reached into a third day.
The implanted medical device lost contact with the Apple products belonging to the 84-year-old grandmother around 2 a.m., a law enforcement source told Fox News.
When authorities reached her Arizona home hours later, around noon, Nancy’s phone and Apple Watch were still inside the house, the source said.

Additionally, Nanos shared on Tuesday that an alleged "ransom note" was sent to a local news station in Arizona (KOLD) and was being looked into:

The note, which the station received Monday and agreed not to report on, contained specific details about the home and what Nancy Guthrie was wearing that night, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos said, although he would not confirm the accuracy of that information or the legitimacy of the note.

Nanos declared on Tuesday morning that “The air and ground searches … you’ll see that slow down. Those things are going to slow down, we’re pushing more to the investigative side of this."

I'm trying not to read too much into that, but between that statement and the look on the sheriff's face in response to a question about whether he believed Mrs. Guthrie was still alive, it increases the worry that there won't be a positive outcome from this:

Relatedly, even President Trump has weighed in on the Guthrie case:
